Afternoon Non-Stop flights to Iceland by Icelandair and WOW International Airlines from 14 Major Cities .

Dec 29.
Viking World Museum for a hearty Icelandic breakfast. Meet your tour manager.
Depart from Keflavík for southern Iceland.
Visit Þingborg Wool Center. The best buys in woolen goods.
Drive the famous “The Golden Circle” – Þingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir. Buffet lunch at Glíma Restaurant Hótel Geysir.
Arrive at Hótel Flúðir for rest, dinner and overnight.
1st opportunity to scout for Northern Lights.

Dec 30.
Depart from Flúðir after breakfast.
Visit Northern Lights Museum in fishing village Stokkseyri.
Leave Stokkseyri for Þorlákshöfn harbor.
Board ferry Herjólfur for the crossing to Westman Islands.
Herjólfur sails from Þorlákshöfn. Cafeteria offers hot meals etc. Herjólfur arrives in Westman Islands, “the Pompeii of the North.” Shuttle to hotel.
Check-in at Hótel Vestmannaeyjar. Rest.
Dinner at the hotel.
Bus and driver are ready for Northern Lights exploration

Dec 31.
A guided walk after breakfast through Iceland’s most recent lava field, to a geothermal area where islanders built a heating system for their houses using the heat from the cooling lava.
Visit Eldheimar Volcano Museum for an understanding of the 1973 eruption; how the islanders fought to save their town.
Lunch at Canton Restaurant; a different cuisine; a great experience. It’s New Year’s Eve. Time for a toast! Baijiu?
Rest.
Visit Brothers Brewery, a great craft brewery recently open.
Gala dinner at your hotel. Enjoy the evening – New Year’s Eve, with new friends and a dinner, not to be forgotten with the best of Icelandic delicacies.
A spectacular fireworks display, – one of the biggest in Iceland.

Jan 1.
It’s New Year’s day. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
Visit Lyngfell Horse Stables, to learn about the Icelandic horse and for a short ride if the weather allows.
Lunch at 900 Grillhús – Icelandic leg of lamb, – a delicacy.
Afternoon at leisure in town.
The group is divided into fours and sixes for an evening in Icelandic homes, including dinner.
Bus and driver are ready for Northern Lights exploration.

Jan 2.
Early breakfast and check-out from the hotel.
Transfer from the hotel to the ferry Herjólfur.
Board the ferry.
Herjólfur departs from Westman Islands for Þorlákshöfn.
Herjólfur arrives at Þorlákshöfn. Proceed to Reykjavík.
Arrive in Reykjavik. Step-on-guide comes aboard the bus for a 2-hour sightseeing tour of the city including a light lunch at famous Icelandic hot dog bar – Pylsubarinn.
Check-in at Center Hotel Miðgarður. The hotel is located near various attractions and the best shopping in the city.
Remaining day and evening without program.

A free day in Reykjavík with no program.

Jan 4.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
Leave the hotel for the famous Blue Lagoon.
Arrive Blue Lagoon – enjoy the splash for 2 hours.
“Farewell to Iceland lunch” at Lava Restaurant.
Transfer to Keflavik Airport.
Check-in for flights by ICELANDAIR and WOW AIRLINES
to various destinations in the United States.
Departure of flights to the U.S.
Late afternoon arrival in the United States.
